Profile
Born in Hachinohe City, Aomori Prefecture (the birthplace of Tsugaru Shamisen's deep roots). Debuting on stage at the age of 3, Kuniha grew up immersed in Minyo (Japanese folk songs) and traditional performing arts.
She studied under Katsukuni Sawada and inherited the prestigious title of "Natori" (Accredited Master), becoming "Kuniha Sawada." She currently performs nationwide in Japan and internationally, delivering the powerful, soul-stirring sounds of the Tsugaru Shamisen.
